Pinch Cabaret #47
Sat Feb 28, 2026 - 8pm

Hosted and curated by grizzled old sea captain Ben Gorodetsky. Expect the unexpected!

Featuring:

  • Friendly Rich is a composer from Brampton, Ontario. He did most of the music for MTV's The Tom Green Show back in the day and has been releasing original music ever since. For Pinch Friendly Rich will lead us through a guided meditation using dissonant singing bowls detuned just perfectly to put everyone in a state of entrainment.  Be warned, this sound bath might lead some to vomit.

  • Joel Guse, also known as The Joel Show, shares his love of juggling, unicycling and making balloon animals all while creating smiles! He’ll present a fast-paced Juggling Extravaganza packed with balance, flair, and crowd-pleasing surprises.

  • Confuse The Parents is Kitchener based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist duo made up of Dayna-Rose Shapiro and Aleistar Cain. They perform original songs that combine an experimental blend of Indie, Alternative, Jazz, Neo Soul and R&B. Their both wholesome and emotionally heartfelt lyrics touch on topics such as struggling with depression and anxiety, neurodivergence, healing through self-expression and creating art, connection with nature and animals, and the importance of community.

  • Ashton (he/they) is an emerging queer writer based in Kitchener-Waterloo. He found expression and creativity through creative writing at an early age, writing his first novel at the age of 12. Ashton is working towards both a current novel project and a work of collected poetry for publication. At pinch he will be reading some of his poetry and a creative non-fiction piece centered around transness, mental health, familial relationships, and self growth.

  • Piper & Carson’s songwriting is free and fiercely personal; like running in the woods, washing in cold water, and howling with wolves. This duo will make you believe music can change the world. Energetic, honest and full of inspiration; Piper & Carson's music soars with harmony driven songs and rich vulnerable stories shared abundantly.

  • And for the Pinch Zine Series, this month we’ll release "Blame Me" by Norah Wardell. Norah (she/her) is a choreographer, producer, and explorer of relationships and community. She is the Founder of performance collective Dance and Heart and her newest passion is Aura Studio in Fergus where she blends movement with her conflict transformation practice. "Blame Me" explores the dizzying power of moving on.

Advance tickets are $5 / $10 / $20 / $30 – you choose the option that’s right for you.

Indigenous community members are welcomed to attend for free.
